CHEYENNE ELIZABETH STEVENSON
February 22, 2006 — October 29, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Cheyenne Elizabeth Stevenson. Born on February 22, 2006, in the welcoming town of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and peacefully left us at her home in Ruston La. on October 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength and spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.
A celebration of Cheyenne’s life will be held on November 6, 2026, with visitation at 2:00 PM and memorial at 3:00 PM with Brother Hinkle and Donald Pharr officiating at Connect Point, located at 212 Walnut St., Bernice, LA. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her life and legacy
.
Cheyenne was the cherished daughter of mother Sunny (Marvin) father Stanley (Jo). She is lovingly remembered by her fiancé, Gabe Fuller, and brother Marvin Smith Jr. . Her memory lives on in the hearts of her devoted grandparents, Robert and Debra Barnes, Margaret and Richard Hoffman, and her great-grandmother, Helen Frank. She also leaves behind a wide circle of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
A bright and dedicated student, Cheyenne graduated with honors from Downsville Charter School in 2024. Her academic achievements were numerous; she was a proud member of the Honor Society, a spirited player on the basketball team, and an active participant in the Future Farmers of America organization. Driven by her passion for discovery and innovation, Cheyenne was pursuing a degree in engineering at Louisiana Tech University.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Cheyenne found joy in creativity. She had a special talent for making patriotic cakes and creating beautiful jewelry, paintings, and crafts. Her artistry was a testament to her vibrant personality and her love for life.
Cheyenne’s light will forever shine in our hearts, and her legacy of courage, kindness, and creativity will continue to inspire those who were privileged to know her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, the medical teams in Shreveport, and the hospice care team in Ruston for their compassionate care and dedication\. They are also deeply thankful for the love, prayers, kindness, and support shown throughout Cheyenne’s courageous journey. Your compassion will forever be remembered and cherished.
