Born on March 24, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Clifford and Reba Glasgow. She grew up in a loving household alongside her siblings, forging bonds that would endure throughout her lifetime. She was predeceased by her parents and her dear siblings Deloris, Shirley, Duane, and Ronnie, whose memories she cherished dearly. Cheryl is survived by her sisters Karen Chance and Bobbie Glasgow, who will miss her companionship and unwavering support.
Cheryl was a devoted and nurturing mother to her children, Sherry Wilson, Carl (Claudia) Wilson, and Troy (Penny) Wilson. She instilled in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and the importance of family. Her spirit and love will continue to shine through her five grandchildren, Nichole, Kent, Tanner, Alayna, and Emily, and her six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Professionally, Cheryl dedicated many years to the Boy Scouts of America as a registrar in Topeka, Kansas. Her meticulous attention to detail and her passion for helping others were evident in her work with scoutmasters, preparing outings, events, awards, and badges. Her contributions to the organization left an indelible mark and positively impacted the lives of countless young scouts.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Cheryl was an avid quilter, creating beautiful and intricate quilts that became treasured keepsakes for family and friends. Her quilts were more than just fabric and thread; they were an expression of her love and creativity, wrapping those she cared for in warmth and comfort.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Cheryl's life and bid farewell to a remarkable woman who touched so many hearts. Her family kindly requests that those who wish to honor her memory do so in their own special way, perhaps by sharing a story, enjoying a peaceful moment in nature, or creating something beautiful, as Cheryl so often did.
