In Loving Memory of Cheryl Elliott
June 6, 1958 – August 17, 2026
With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Cheryl Elliott, who departed this life peacefully on August 17, 2026, in Georgia, where she had made her home after relocating there in 2013.
Cheryl was born on June 6, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Robert Elliott and Exeline Elliott. She was raised in a loving family alongside her brother, Robert Elliott, and her sisters, Kimberly Elliott and Andrea Elliott. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father and all three of her siblings. She leaves behind her beloved mother, Exeline Elliott, whose presence remains a cherished part of her family’s legacy.
Cheryl was a proud graduate of South Shore High School in Chicago. She went on to dedicate her working life to the healthcare industry, where her work allowed her to serve and care for others. Her life reflected the importance of compassion, family, perseverance, and service.
In 2013, Cheryl relocated to Georgia, beginning a new chapter of her life. Though miles away from her birthplace, she carried with her the memories, relationships, and love that had shaped her throughout the years.
Cheryl’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Promise Islam; her daughter-in-law, Letoya Yeager Islam; and her three cherished grandchildren, Prince Islam, Jeddah Islam, and Galaxi Islam. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Teai Elliott and Monique Elliott, and her nephew, Frederick Elliott, along with extended family, friends, former colleagues, and all whose lives she touched.
Although Cheryl is no longer with us in physical form, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the legacy she leaves through her family will continue to live on. Her journey through life was a testament to the enduring strength of family and the lasting impact one person can have on those fortunate enough to know and love her.
May Cheryl Elliott’s memory forever be a blessing. May her family find comfort in the love they shared with her, strength in the memories she left behind, and peace in knowing that her legacy continues through the generations she loved so dearly.
Rest peacefully, Cheryl. You will be deeply loved, fondly remembered, and forever missed.
