Celebrating the Life of Cheryl Marie Bailey​ March 17, 1964 – June 27, 2026 2 Timothy 4:7-8: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of the righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will reward to me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who have longed for his appearing." ​Cheryl Marie Bailey received her wings on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 62, while in the care of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital. Cheryl was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she attended John McDonogh High School. In September 2005, she relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, where she resided until her transition. ​ ​Cheryl was a vibrant, creative and loving spirit who never met a stranger. She loved gathering with family and friends. Cheryl was enthusiastic about learning technology. She was completely self-taught and developed impressive computer skills and found joy in working on different projects on the computer. ​Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Charmaine Teresa Ross, special friend, Sherman Ross, sister, Gayle Bailey-Gray (Earl N. Gray, Jr.), granddaughters: Theresa Ross, Aalainna Forrest, nephews: Garvin S. Smith (Yacorsha Smith), Gregory A. Smith, Jr. Great-Nieces and Nephews: Kourtney Smith, Gregrion Smith, Lacey Smith, Garvin Smith, Jr., Bailey Chapman, Cam'ron Manuel, Bryson Lee, and a host of many more dear cousins and lifelong friends. Cheryl has joined her beloved parents in eternity, father, Clarence Bailey and mother, Theresa Ellen Wilkerson Bailey. ​ ​Family and friends gathered in love to honor and celebrate Cheryl's life and transition during her homegoing service. ​
