Cherry's life journey began in the vibrant city she called home, and it is here that she made countless memories with family and friends. She left this world peacefully on July 14, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cherry was a devoted member of her community and an active church member who found joy in serving others. Her passion for education shone through in her career as a school teacher at Charles Rice, where she had the privilege of shaping young minds and inspiring future generations. Her dedication to her students was unmatched, and her influence will be felt long after her passing. Throughout her life, Cherry had a zest for adventure and an eye for treasure. She loved exploring thrift stores, always on the hunt for unique finds that brought a smile to her face. The thrill of the casinos also captured her heart, where she enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie with family and friends. Above all, Cherry cherished family time, creating lasting memories with those she loved. Cherry was preceded in death by her beloved Maxwell Anderson and Patty Anderson, who have welcomed her into their arms. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by her devoted family: Andrew Hamilton, Tyrone Hamilton, Keishondra Hamilton, Sherry Hamilton, Kenyee Fleming, Sanaiya Greer, Isis Meed, Derrick Morris, and Dericka Morris. Additionally, she is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brittany Hamilton, Naomi Jones, and Anita Hamilton, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
