In Loving Memory

Chemika Green
September 2, 1991 — May 29, 2026
With the deepest sorrow and an abundance of love, we announce the passing of Chemika Green, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left this world far too soon on May 29, 2026, at the tender age of 34. Chemika was born on September 2, 1991, in the warm embrace of Macon, Georgia, a place that always held her heart.
From the moment she graced us with her presence, Chemika radiated a vibrant spirit that could light up any room. Her smile was a beacon of warmth and compassion, effortlessly spreading joy to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She was a woman of immense kindness, known to give the shirt off her back to those in need, and her love for others knew no bounds.
Chemika was the beloved daughter of Katherine Shaw and the late Adam Shaw, who predeceased her. She was a devoted mother to her children, Imani, Akilah, Jimmy, and Jasmine, who were her pride and joy. They were the heart of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her spirit will live on through her children, who carry her legacy of love and resilience.
She is also survived by her loving sisters, Adrienne, Dreamer, and Shantae, as well as five nieces, two great-nieces, and four nephews, all of whom adored her. Her extended family and numerous friends are testament to the lasting impact she made on the lives of so many.
A proud graduate of Northeast High School, Chemika pursued her passion for helping others by earning an Associate Degree as a Medical Assistant. She dedicated herself to her work as a caregiver, offering comfort and support to those in need. For ten years, she was a valued employee of Tech Solutions, where her dedication and work ethic were admired by all who worked alongside her.
Beyond her professional life, Chemika found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a talented singer, dancer, and poet, using her creative gifts to express the beauty she saw in the world. Her heart found solace in spending time with children, whose laughter and innocence brought her immense happiness.
For 12 years, Chemika was a devoted member of the Real Life Church, where she found a community of faith and friendship that supported her throughout her journey.
A service to celebrate Chemika's life will be held on June 2, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Bentley and Sons Funeral Home, located on Pio Nono Ave. Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor, to share memories, and to find comfort in one another.
In this time of unimaginable grief, the family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bentley and Sons Funeral Home for their compassionate care and support.
Though Chemika's departure leaves an ache in our hearts, we find solace in the love she spread and the memories she leaves behind. She will forever be remembered for her boundless generosity, her luminous smile, and the profound love she held for her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Chemika, you are loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words can express.
