Chellie was born on June 27, 1953, in Oakland, California, where she spent her entire life creating cherished memories with family and friends. Chellie was the cherished daughter of Pedro and Beatrice Lewis. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Willie Mae, and her brother, Pete Lewis, both of whom were also from Oakland. Despite these losses, Chellie remained a beacon of strength and compassion for her family, embodying the role of a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Chellie's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tyrone Kilson, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Together, they raised three wonderful children: her daughters, Sandra Kilson and Tyrise Davis, and her son, Tyrone Kilson Jr. Chellie's nurturing spirit and boundless love extended to her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Those who knew Chellie remember her as a warm-hearted woman who always put others first. Her home was a place of comfort and laughter, where she welcomed everyone with open arms. She had a unique gift for making people feel loved and valued, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A service to honor and celebrate Chellie's life will be held on January 28, 1994, at 11:00 a.m. at C P Bannon in Oakland, California. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Chellie are invited to join in remembering the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Chellie's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her lifelong dedication to helping others.
