It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved Chasity J Vanderhorst, who was taken from us far too soon on June 2, 2026. Born on January 25, 2011, in the close-knit community of Florence, South Carolina, Chasity's life, though brief, was a beacon of light and love that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. From a young age, Chasity's quick wit and warm smile were unmistakable, lighting up every room she entered. Her infectious laughter and innate ability to share joy were gifts she bestowed upon those around her, always ready with a joke to ease tensions and bring happiness to others. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and she had a remarkable talent for making everyone feel welcome and valued, no matter the circumstances. Chasity attended South Florence High School, where she was not only a diligent student but also a cherished friend to many. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she was always eager to lend a hand or offer support to those in need. Her genuine compassion and selflessness left an indelible mark on her community, a testament to the beautiful spirit that was Chasity. Tragically, Chasity's life was cut short in an act of senseless violence. The shock and sorrow of her untimely passing have left all who knew her in mourning. Yet, even in this dark time, we hold onto the memories of her vibrant spirit, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely. Chasity is survived by her loving family, who will forever cherish the joy she brought into their lives. Though her time with us was fleeting, the impact of her love and kindness is eternal. Her family shares this special message: "Forever in our hearts." As we gather to celebrate Chasity's life, let us remember the joy she brought to each of us and strive to honor her memory by embodying the love and kindness she shared so generously. May we find solace in the legacy of light she leaves behind, and may her spirit continue to inspire us to live with compassion and grace. Rest in peace, dear Chasity. You will forever be missed and always remembered.
