November 8, 1988 — February 18, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chase Ryan Hayles, who left this world far too soon on February 18, 2026. Born on November 8, 1988, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Chase was a beacon of joy and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Chase was the cherished son of Alan Keith Hayles and Karen D'Ann Pruett Hayles. He was the beloved brother of Justin Alan Hayles and the proud uncle to his nephews, Jasper A. Hayles and Jet A. Hayles, who adored him immensely. Chase's family extended beyond these immediate bonds, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who he considered family. Educated at Cinco Ranch High School, where he graduated in 2007, Chase pursued higher education with vigor and determination. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University in 2014, a testament to his dedication and love for learning. His education was more than just an achievement; it was a foundation for a life filled with creativity and exploration. An artist at heart, Chase found immense joy and solace in painting, where his intuitive and artistic nature shone brightly. He was also an avid adventurer who embraced the thrill of rock climbing and the serenity of deer hunting. Shooting was another of his cherished pastimes, but above all, Chase treasured the moments spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. Chase was a man of faith, whose strong will and fighting spirit defined him. His love for his dog, Una, was unwavering, and their bond was a beautiful testament to his compassionate and caring nature. Chase's life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and devotion—qualities that will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Chase is now reunited with his predeceased grandparents: D. P. Pruett, Jr., Sallee B. Pruett, Marion "Boo" Hayles, and Geneva M. Hayles, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. A service to honor and celebrate Chase's remarkable life will be held on February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Schmidt Funeral Home - Grand Parkway, located at 1344 W. Grand Parkway South, Katy, TX 77494. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance of Chase's legacy and to share stories of his impact on their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Kidney Fund or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, organizations that were dear to Chase’s heart. Chase Ryan Hayles will be remembered for his intuitive spirit, artistic talent, and unwavering faith. His memory will continue to be a guiding light for all who knew and loved him.
