Charlotte McDonald

January 17, 1960 — April 16, 2026

It is with profound sadness and yet a spirit of gratitude for her enduring legacy that we announce the passing of our beloved Charlotte McDonald, who departed this world peacefully on April 16, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on January 17, 1960, in the quaint town of Nashville, Arkansas, Charlotte was a beacon of warmth and generosity whose influence touched all those fortunate enough to know her. Charlotte was the cherished daughter of Donald Preston Cook and Nannie Lou McCoullough, who instilled in her a love for family and a deep-rooted sense of kindness. Though preceded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved husband Curtis McDonald, and dear brothers Nannie Cook, Donald Cook, and James Cook, Charlotte carried their memories, stories, and values close to her heart throughout her life. Her life was a testament to the power of love and resilience. A devoted mother to April Bauerle of Georgia and Angela Silva, Charlotte took immense pride in nurturing her daughters, instilling in them a love for learning, strength in adversity, and an unwavering commitment to kindness. Her daughters were her greatest joy, her enduring legacy, and they, along with their families, were the light of her world. Charlotte's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She was the proud grandmother of six adoring grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and laughter. Her love and guidance shaped their lives, and her stories and lessons will continue to resonate with them in all their endeavors. The arrival of her great-grandchild added yet another joyful chapter to her life, a precious blessing that she cherished deeply. Her extended family includes her steadfast and loving friend, Elena of Joshua Wilson, whose companionship provided comfort and strength during life's journey. Their bond was a testament to the power of friendship and love, transcending the boundaries of time and space. Throughout her life, Charlotte was known for her kindness, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering commitment to her community. Her passion for helping others found expression in her countless hours of volunteer work, where she selflessly gave her time and energy to those in need. Charlotte's legacy is not only carried on by her family but also by the many lives she touched through her generosity and compassion. As we gather to celebrate Charlotte's remarkable life, we remember her as a woman of great faith, steadfast love, and unyielding strength. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us to live with love, compassion, and courage, just as she did. In honoring Charlotte McDonald's life, we invite family and friends to join us for a celebration of her life, filled with shared memories, laughter, and love, at a service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity close to Charlotte's heart, reflecting her lifelong dedication to helping others. Charlotte McDonald will forever be remembered as a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished friend, and a beacon of light whose love knew no bounds. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
