It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Charlotte Duggins, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend. Charlotte was born on January 25, 1945, in the Yuba Sutter Area. She passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Charlotte was the cherished daughter of Ada and Carl Clark. She grew up in a warm household, sharing her early years with her siblings Cecil, Cecilia, Mae Evelyn, and Marguerite, all of whom predeceased her. Her enduring spirit and compassion were evident from a young age and remained steadfast throughout her life.
On September 5, 1964, Charlotte married the love of her life, Clifford Duggins. Their marriage, a testament to enduring love and partnership, spanned 61 beautiful years. Together, they raised four children: Julie Lende, Kimberly Perez, Clifford Duggins (and his wife Kimberly), and Carl Duggins, who predeceased her. Their home was a haven of love, laughter, and faith, a sanctuary that nurtured their family and extended to their community.
Charlotte’s career in food service left a lasting impact, particularly during her 26 years at Yuba City High School. Her dedication went beyond serving meals; she nourished the hearts and spirits of those she encountered, always offering a warm smile and a kind word. Her colleagues and the students she served remember her fondly for her generosity and unwavering kindness.
Her life was a reflection of her deep faith in God, which guided her actions and decisions. Charlotte was known for her gentle soul, always extending a helping hand and a listening ear to those in need. Her legacy is woven into the fabric of her community, where her acts of kindness and dedication to her faith left an indelible mark.
Charlotte leaves behind a loving family who will continue to celebrate her life: her devoted husband Clifford, her daughters Julie and Kimberly, her son Clifford and daughter-in-law Kimberly, and her grandchildren Caraya, Jesse, Cody, Cameron, Krystle, Alyssa, Ignacio, Genesis, Kayden, Charlotte, and Diangelo. Her legacy of love and faith is carried forward by her 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A service to honor Charlotte's remarkable life and memory will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Gray Avenue Christian Church, located at 1524 Gray Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991. It will be a time to gather, share memories, and celebrate the profound impact she had on all who knew her.
