Charlotte Mae Shadle

Charlotte, a cherished soul, departed this world on July 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and an unwavering free spirit. Born on October 3, 1948, in Oroville, California, she brightened the lives of all who knew her with her boundless joy and compassionate heart. Charlotte was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Betty and was predeceased by her devoted husband, Dennis, her daughters Tami and Dixie, and her siblings, Gary and Linda. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Ron, Garry, and Eric, along with her 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. On March 11, 1973, Charlotte married the love of her life, Dennis Shadle, in Reno, Nevada. Together, they built a life filled with love and adventure. Charlotte's early professional life was marked by her dedication as a nurse's aide and her time working in the apple orchards of Chelan, where she touched many lives with her kindness and diligence. Charlotte's passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She found joy in gardening, growing all sorts of house plants, solving crossword puzzles, her beloved coloring books( which she called PAGES ), and savoring sweet treats like Whitman's chocolates, 3 Musketeers, and Junior Mints. An avid news watcher, she loved staying informed about the world. Her family and friends will fondly remember her for the long road trips they shared, her infectious laughter, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. Charlotte was a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother, a treasured sibling, a loving daughter, a caring aunt, a supportive wife, a cherished mother-in-law, a devoted sister, and a steadfast friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held on what would have been her 78th birthday, October 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lakeside Park in Chelan, Washington. Her family finds comfort in the words of John 3:16, "For God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have Eternal life! Forever in our Hearts!!" Charlotte will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
