CHARLIE L. LAMPLEY

It is with a heavy heart and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Charlie L. Lampley, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on June 17, 1950, in Jackson, Tennessee, Charlie departed this life peacefully at home on July 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Charlie was the devoted son of the late Harvey and Bolivia (Haggie) Lampley. He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Will and Cynthia (Ninnie Moma) McNeal, his brother Edward Lewis (Slick man) Lampley, his beloved son Kevin C. (Rooster) Harris, and dear grandchildren Sir. Elijah T. Hines and Jasmine (Jazz) Hines. Left to hold his memory dear are his loving children: Stephanie Dickson, Melanie Whiteside, Chiquita Williams (Darren), Denise Rivers, Brandon Currie, Candice Smith (Travis), and Darhonda Washington. He is also survived by his siblings Stanley L. Lampley and Mary J. Abby, and his treasured fourteen grandchildren: Elliott (B.J.) Hines, Trae Hines, Bernetta Nicholson, Arrielle Hines, Ethan Smith, Skekela Reynolds, Gabrielle (Lee Lee) Hines, Jordan Dickson, Tamika Nicholson, Nyah Wooden, India Rivers, and Jaden Dickson Charlie’s life was a testament to life and love, resilience, and the power of family. His fun loving spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved will forever be remembered. He had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special and was always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.He was the life of any party. A service to honor and celebrate Charlie's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM. His family invites those who knew and loved him to join in this remembrance. Charlie L. Lampley will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
