Born on November 1, 1960, in the close-knit community of Pocomoke City, MD, Charlie was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his cherished parents, Grayson and Annette Granger, and his dear nephew, Wayne Miles. Charlie leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him close in their hearts. His sisters, Nancy Miles (Danny), Debbie Miles (Doug), and Betty Dennis (Greg), will always cherish the countless memories they shared. He was the adored uncle of Kelly Miles (Liz), Dana Hanson (James), Brian Miles (Krista), and Will Miles (Jill), who all looked up to him as an inspiring figure in their lives. Charlie is also remembered by his faithful Jack Russell, Samantha "Sam," who was his constant companion and brought joy to his days. Throughout his life, Charlie dedicated himself to the automotive industry, where he worked with unwavering commitment and integrity. His roles at Midway Chevrolet, Massey Ford, and Sho-Wil Chevrolet earned him the reputation as one of the finest parts specialists, a testament to his passion and expertise. Beyond his professional endeavors, Charlie was a vibrant member of his community. He was an active participant in pool and dart leagues, sharing countless laughs and forming lasting friendships at Spikes Pub and Suds in Princess Anne, MD. His involvement with the Pocomoke American Legion was marked by countless hours of volunteer work, embodying his selfless spirit and dedication to service. Charlie’s love for NASCAR was unrivaled, and he delighted in attending races and collecting memorabilia dedicated to the legendary Dale Earnhardt. However, it was his passion for fishing that truly defined his leisure moments. The tranquil waters served as the backdrop for his many adventures with his cousin and fishing partner, Bobby Hudson. Together, they crafted "fish tales" that will be retold and cherished for years to come. Charlie’s legacy is one of kindness and generosity. He was known for his selfless desire to make a difference in the lives of others, doing good simply because it was the right thing to do. His family finds comfort in knowing that his memory will inspire others to embody the same spirit of compassion and service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie’s honor to the Worcester County Humane Society or Coastal Hospice, organizations that reflect his love for animals and his compassionate nature. Charlie Granger’s presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
