In Loving Memory
Charlie Charles Huggins
September 20, 1940 — April 13, 2026
With hearts heavy yet grateful for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Charlie Charles Huggins, who left this earthly realm on April 13, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on September 20, 1940, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Charlie was the cherished son of the late Willie Earl and Bernadette Huggins. He was a beacon of warmth and kindness whose spirit touched all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Charlie was a devoted husband to Angela Huggins, with whom he shared nearly three decades of unwavering love and partnership. Their journey together began in Little Rock, where they married in 1999, and soon embarked on a new chapter in Bremerton, Washington, in 2000. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and a shared commitment to serving their community.
A man of faith and conviction, Charlie served as a co-pastor at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. His ministry was characterized not just by his powerful sermons, but by the life he led outside the walls of the church. Charlie's work extended far beyond the pulpit; his heart and home were open to anyone in need. Through his tireless community outreach, he became a pillar of support and an unwavering advocate for lifting others up. His dedication was evident in every kind word and every open door, and his service was never defined by titles but by the genuine love and compassion he bestowed upon everyone he met.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents, his brother John Paul Huggins, and his sister Bernice Huggins. He leaves behind a devoted family, including his loving wife Angela Huggins, his sister Jeanette Huggins, and a host of nieces and nephews who cherished their Uncle Charlie. He also leaves behind a special friend, Robert Clark, and his wife, who stood by him through the years with unwavering friendship and support.
Beyond his family and friends, Charlie leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and profound love that will continue to inspire and uplift those who follow in his footsteps. His life was a testament to the power of faith, kindness, and community, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were touched by his extraordinary spirit.
As we say goodbye to Charlie, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the countless lives he enriched. May we carry his torch of compassion and community, honoring his memory by continuing the work he held so dear.
A service to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Charlie’s name to the community outreach programs he held so dear.
Rest in peace, dear Charlie. Your light will never fade.
