With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Charley Nicol, a beloved father, brother, son, and friend, who departed this life on May 16, 2026, into the arms of our Lord, at the age of 56. Born on December 16, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas, Charley was a beacon of warmth, humor, and kindness whose presence graced and enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Charley was the cherished son of Edward and Freddy Nicol. He now joins his father, Ed Nicol, and both sets of grandparents, Charley and Alma Byers, and Arnold and Alice Nicol, in eternal peace. Surviving him are his devoted mother, Freddy Nicol; his loving daughter, Tiffanie Wycinski, and her husband, Jacob; and his cherished son, Harrison Nicol. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Kimi Robinson and her husband, Dan, and Toni Terry and her husband, Mark, as well as his biological mother, Jeannie Thomas, and sisters Ty Morris, Tana Jamison, and Rex, and Lisa McCloud and Jason. The memories of Charley will remain alive in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. His dear friends, Marie and Samantha, join the family in mourning the loss of such a special soul. Charley was a man of many talents. A master plumber by trade, he was known for his dedication and skill, most recently showcasing his creativity in crafting exquisite wine cellars. His passion for woodworking was a testament to his love for creating beauty with his hands. Charley also found joy in simpler pleasures, like playing cornhole, where his quick wit and infectious laughter often turned a casual game into a memorable gathering. Charley was a man with a gift for bringing laughter and light into every room. His quick wit, warm smile, and humorous spirit made him a beloved figure among family and friends. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel accepted, welcome, and valued, a rare quality that endeared him to all who crossed his path. A celebration of Charley's life will be held on June 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, located at 8122 CR 513, Lone Oak, Texas, 75453.
