In Loving Memory of Charles Morrison It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Charles Morrison, who left this world peacefully on May 28, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on August 3, 1944, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Charles was a cherished son of the late Viola and Edward Morrison. His life was a testament to love, service, and unwavering devotion to his family, community, and faith. Charles grew up in a home filled with love and laughter, alongside his siblings, the late Gladys Abbot, Edward Morrison, and Douglas Morrison. He shared a special bond with his first wife, Mary Lee Morrison, who predeceased him after a loving marriage of 19 years. In 1989, Charles found love again with Marie Morrison, and together they built a beautiful life for 37 years, creating a warm and welcoming home for Marie's children, Kerry Scholl, David Scholl, and Jean Marrotta. Charles's heart was a generous one, and it grew with the addition of his daughter, Christine Morrison, and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchild, who were his pride and joy. His family extended beyond blood ties, encompassing the Canadian Family, the Abott family, and most affectionately, his Church family, who held a special place in his heart. A proud veteran, Charles served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, achieving the rank of Spec 5. His commitment to service continued throughout his life as a dedicated member of the Community Congregational Church in Pinehurst, Billerica, MA, where he faithfully served for over 40 years. Charles was also a devoted member of the Sunshine Gals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding those in need, and he and Marie were active members of the Billerica Elks. Charles possessed a gentle soul, known for his kindness, loyalty, and devotion to the causes and people he held dear. His passion for bird watching brought him immense joy, as he often spent hours identifying different species at his bird feeders. This love for nature was only rivaled by his devotion to his family, church, and community. A service celebrating Charles's life will be held on June 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home, located at 354 Boston Rd, Billerica, MA 01821. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was a beacon of love and compassion. The Morrison family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Lowell General Hospital for their exceptional care and to Palm Springs for their kindness and special attention during Charles's final days. Charles Morrison's legacy is one of enduring love and resilience. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, forever inspiring us to live with the same grace and generosity he embodied. Rest in peace, dear Charles, in the tender embrace of the Lord.
