Cooper, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this world on March 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on May 21, 1952, in the warm embrace of Monroe, Georgia, Charles lived a life rich with love, dedication, and service, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. Charles was the beloved son of the late Earl Cooper Sr. and Zinnie Mae Cooper. Raised in a family filled with love and laughter, he shared his early years with his late siblings, Mr. Johnny Claude Cooper, Mr. & Mrs. Glenn (Louise) Cooper, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis (Cheryl) Cooper, and Ms. Anna Cooper. His surviving siblings, Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Lindora) Moon, Mr. Johnny L. Cooper, Earl Cooper Jr., and his sisters Ms. Geraldine, Elaine, and Janice Cooper, each hold a special place in his heart. As a young man, Charles answered the call of duty and joined the United States Marine Corps, a testament to his unwavering dedication to his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a security supervisor in Oakland, California, where his diligent work and steadfast ethics earned him respect and admiration. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charles was a man of many passions. An avid photographer, he captured the beauty of the world through his lens, preserving moments that would otherwise fade with time. He was also a skilled chess player, delighting in the strategic challenge and camaraderie the game provided. A lover of history, Charles found joy in reading and learning about the past, a pursuit that enriched his understanding of the world. Known for his quick wit and kind smile, Charles brought warmth and comfort to those around him. His ability to encourage others was a testament to his generous spirit and gentle heart, qualities that endeared him to family and friends alike. Charles leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his memory. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Kimmie (Cooper) Crowder, his grandsons, Mr. & Mrs. KaVon (Miyah) Crowder, and Mr. Javon Crowder. His great-grandchildren, Nova, Michi, and Hiro Crowder, are his living legacy, carrying forward the values and love he instilled in them. A memorial service to celebrate Charles's life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, located at 1338 Gratis Rd, Monroe, Georgia 30656. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Jackson Funeral Home for their professionalism and kindness during this difficult time. In honoring Charles L.
