In Loving Memory

Charles Eugene Porter
January 6, 1963 — April 26, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Charles Eugene Porter, affectionately known as Chuck, who left us on April 26, 2026, at the age of 63, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on January 6, 1963, in Hollister, California, Chuck was the beloved son of Mary and Clifford Porter, who predeceased him, along with his brother, Paul Porter, and sister, Margaret Hone. Chuck is survived by his cherished son, Armando Porter, and his loving siblings: brothers James and Robert Porter, and sisters Thelma Porter-Trickett, Betty Wilder, and Carolyn Ramirez. Chuck’s memory will also live on in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews, who fondly remember their uncle's warm smile and ever-positive nature.
A dedicated computer analyst by profession, Chuck was a man whose technical prowess was equaled only by his genuine affection for those around him. He spent his career not only solving complex problems but also building lasting friendships with colleagues who admired his unwavering integrity and infectious humor.
Beyond his professional life, Chuck was a man of simple joys and deep passions. He found immense pleasure in gathering his family around for BBQs and smoking food, sharing laughter and stories. It was during these cherished moments that Chuck’s joyful spirit truly shone, reminding all who knew him of the importance of togetherness and celebration.
Chuck was known for his kindness, resilience, and an unbeatable sense of humor that could light up any room. His capacity to remain happy and hopeful, even in the face of adversity, was a testament to his inner strength and a source of inspiration for everyone he met.
Though Chuck did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy of love and kindness is carried forward by his family, who continue to embody the qualities he so generously shared with the world.
While we mourn the loss of Charles Porter, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the laughter he inspired, the kindness he extended, and the memories he created with each of us. He will forever be missed, yet always remembered with love.
