With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Charles Edward Curry Jr., who left us far too soon on July 10, 2026, at the age of 41. Born on February 19, 1985, in Greenville, Alabama, Charles lived a life full of love, service, and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Charles was the cherished son of Charles and Yvonne Curry and was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Curtis Curry. He is survived by his devoted wife and special friend of 15 years, Briana Brown, who shared his love for traveling and exploring the world. Together, they built a loving family that was a testament to their enduring partnership. Charles was a proud graduate of Gautier High School, Class of 2003, and furthered his education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he earned a degree as an electrician. His dedication to his craft led him to a fulfilling career at Connector Manufacturing Corp (CMC), where he was respected and admired by his colleagues. A patriot and a man of honor, Charles served his country with distinction in the United States Navy from 2004 to 2007, with assignments in Germany and Korea. His commitment to service extended beyond his military career, as he was an active member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Moss Point, Mississippi, and the Heavy Hitters Motorcycle Club, where he found camaraderie and shared his passion for life on two wheels. Those who knew Charles will forever remember his bright smile, infectious laugh, and the joy he brought with his jokes. He was a man who cherished time with family and friends, always bringing light and warmth to any gathering. His legacy lives on through his children, Chyna Curry, Jonathan Gandy, and Jah'Kiem Curry, as well as his siblings, Fredrick (Motrice) Curry, Tye (Veronica) Curry, Carlotta Curry, Evette (Quentin) Montgomery, Tony & Fredrick Ewing, and Jeffery Hall. He was also a beloved uncle to five nieces and seven nephews, who will carry forward his spirit and love. Charles's life was enriched by the friendships he forged, including those with Matt (Christy) Estes, Troy Savage, Steve Campbell, and Cedrick McMean, who stood by him through thick and thin. A celebration of Charles's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Gautier High School, located at 4307 Gautier Vancleave Rd, Gautier, MS 39553. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Charles's generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
