It is with heavy hearts and profound appreciation that we announce the passing of Charles Edward Ansley, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world on June 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on August 20, 1942, in Panama City, Florida, Charles was a beacon of adventure, and dedication throughout his life. Charles was the cherished son of the late Frank and Edna Ansley, who instilled in him values of integrity, and hard work. He is survived by his sons Michael and Frank Ansley, and his granddaughter, Lilly Ansley. In his professional life, Charles exhibited a remarkable entrepreneurial spirit. After dedicating 20 years to Southern Bell, he boldly ventured into entrepreneurship by founding The Boating Center in 1976. His passion for the water led him to establish this marine dealership, providing joy and opportunity to countless boating enthusiasts until 1988. Not one to rest on his laurels, Charles then founded Ansley Construction, a marine construction company renowned for building quality sea walls and docks throughout the region. His commitment to excellence and innovation was evident in every project he undertook. A pillar of his community, Charles was an active member of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and the Military Affairs Committee. His contributions to these organizations reflected his dedication not only to business but to the betterment of his community and country. Beyond his professional achievements, Charles was a man of many passions. An avid hunter, Competitive Marksman, diver, fisherman and Multi Engine licensed pilot. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, embodying a spirit of adventure and curiosity. These pursuits allowed him to explore the world from every angle, and his stories of these adventures will be cherished by all who knew him. Charles was not only a man of action but a man of heart. He was a great friend to many, known for his loyalty, generosity, and unwavering support to all who were fortunate enough to call him their friend. In honor of Charles's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his remarkable life. While we will miss his presence deeply, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the indelible impact he made on our lives. In remembering Charles Edward Ansley, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of passion, kindness, and adventure. His legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide us as we navigate the waters of life without him.
