November 2, 1956 — May 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles David "Charly Tuna" Klein, who left this world peacefully on May 26, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family at home. Born on November 2, 1956, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Charly lived a vibrant and full life, enriching the lives of all who knew him. Charly was the cherished son of John "Jack" and Doris Craig Klein, both of whom preceded him in death, as did his beloved son, Joseph Charles, and his brothers, John and Bob. Despite these profound losses, Charly's spirit remained indomitable, characterized by a remarkable resilience and an infectious zest for life. Left to honor his memory are his devoted wife of 25 years, Patty, whom he married on a beautiful day in Beaver Dam on June 30, 2001. Together, they built a loving and blended family, treasuring every moment spent with their children: sons Daniel and Andrew, daughter Christine (Berkevich), stepson Jason (Leslie) Manthey, and stepdaughter Kathryn Kittleson. Charly also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Jackson "Jack" Klein and Miles Berkevich, as well as his step-grandchildren, Wyatt and Ariana Manthey. His beloved sister, Kathleen Klein, survives him, providing comfort and strength to the family. Charly's professional journey spanned an impressive 47 years in sales, during which he traveled extensively across the United States. His career culminated with a 25-year tenure as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Fox Valley Spring in Greenville, where he was both respected and admired. He also contributed significantly to the industry as a board member of GPI, Graphic Product Identification, and SMI, Spring Manufacturing Institute. A graduate of Beaver Dam High School in 1975, Charly was an active participant in both golf and football, laying the foundation for a lifetime of dynamic engagement and enthusiasm. His passion for community continued as he attended Christ the Rock Church in Menasha and actively participated in the Appleton Yacht Club, where he was known for his love of MCing parties and sharing his signature dad jokes. A friend once remarked that there wasn't a microphone Charly didn't like—a testament to his vibrant personality. Charly was a man of many passions. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, his man cave was a shrine to his favorite team, filled with memorabilia. His love for sports extended to NASCAR, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Badgers. On game days, his home was a welcoming haven for friends and family, where his famous call of "SOCIALABLE" echoed with joy. In addition to his love for sports, Charly was a music aficionado. Known for his quick wit, he delighted in DJing for weddings, anniversaries, and various events, culminating in memorable gatherings like "The Field of Dreams." His warmth, generosity, and humor made him the life of every party, and his willingness to help others was a hallmark of his character. A service to celebrate Charly's remarkable life will be held at Christ the Rock Church, located at W6254 US-10 W, Menasha, WI 54952. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to ThedaCare Cancer Center, Palliative Care, Hospice, and all the friends and loved ones who supported Charly during his journey. Your kindness and presence were invaluable, and we are eternally grateful for your love and support. Charly's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness will forever reside in the hearts of those he touched. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary man, we find solace in the memories and the profound impact he left on our lives. Rest in peace, dear Charly. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
