January 20, 1935 — March 17, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Charles "Chuck" E. Anderson, who left this world peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the age of 91. Chuck passed away from complications related to his heart, surrounded by the love and warmth of those he cherished most. Born on January 20, 1935, in Los Angeles, California, Chuck was the beloved son of H.B. "Andy" Anderson and Ruth Cross Anderson. He was the youngest of his siblings, who have all predeceased him, but he carried their memories and family stories with him throughout his life. Chuck served his country with honor in the Navy during the Korean War, a testament to his unwavering dedication and bravery. After returning from service, he embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver, a role that allowed him to explore the open road and meet countless individuals who would become lifelong friends. In his personal life, Chuck was a pillar of the community. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Angeles, where he found solace and a sense of belonging. He also dedicated his time volunteering with the Discovery Trail upkeep, contributing to the natural beauty of the place he called home. Chuck's life was rich with love and laughter. He is survived by his devoted partner, Laurie Fineout, who stood by him through all of life's joys and challenges. His daughters, Pam Rogers and Candi Sloan, continue to carry forward his legacy of kindness and resilience. Chuck was blessed with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His faithful dog, Bentley, will miss the gentle pats and walks they shared. In his later years, Chuck found joy in the simple pleasures of golfing and bowling, where his warm personality and playful teasing endeared him to many. His laughter and genuine spirit created friendships that stood the test of time. Chuck's presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and an unwavering zest for life. Those who had the privilege of knowing Chuck will remember him as a man of integrity, humor, and unconditional love. A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on May 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, located on 8th Street in Port Angeles, WA. In honor of Chuck's love for animals, the family kindly requests donations be made in lieu of flowers to WAG or Bark House, organizations dear to his heart. As we say goodbye to Chuck, let us do so with gratitude for the time we shared and the memories he leaves behind. May his soul find eternal peace and may his life inspire us to live with compassion and joy.
