In Loving Memory

Charles Andrew Price
July 11, 1933 — April 7, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles Andrew Price on April 7, 2026, at the age of 92. Charles left this world surrounded by the warmth and love of his family, in the home that held so many cherished memories.
Charles was born on July 11, 1933, in Missouri, to Lamar and Dorothy Price, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his beloved sister, Patricia. Charles’ life was marked by a deep commitment to family, a passion for innovation, and a love for adventure. He was reunited with his dear wife, Barbara Ann (Shepard) Price, with whom he shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together, Charles and Barbara built a family rooted in love and resilience, raising their children, Penny Brown and Michael Price, who have also passed on before him.
A proud graduate of CalPoly, Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts in Aeronautical Engineering. His intellectual pursuits were interrupted by a noble dedication to his country as he served with honor in the United States Air Force for four years. Following his military service, Charles embarked on a distinguished career as an Aeronautical Engineer at Aero Jet, where his contributions to the Minute Man missile and the Apollo 13 mission left an indelible mark on aerospace history. Charles even tried his hand at truck driving for a brief period, before dedicating 20 years of service as a Volunteer Sheriff Deputy, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to community and service.
Charles was a man of many interests and talents. He was known for his quick wit and ever-present smile, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. His hands were rarely idle, as he found joy in fixing anything that required his skilled touch. A true outdoorsman, Charles relished traveling the United States in his 5th wheel truck and trailer, attending RV rallies, and casting his fishing line into serene waters. In the quiet moments of late afternoon, he savored his one ounce of Johnnie Walker Black, often while admiring his collection of Ford Trucks.
Left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter Debra Jo Johnson (Chuck), his five grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Ashley, Robert (Randi), and Jason, and a growing number of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. His sister-in-law, Carma E. Kepler, also survives him, along with countless friends who became like family over the years.
A service to celebrate Charles’ remarkable life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Vernon Memorial Park, located at 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA. Friends and family will gather to reflect on the legacy of a man whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and adventure.
Charles Andrew Price’s journey was one of courage, love, and laughter. As we say goodbye, we hold on to the memories of a life well-lived and a man greatly loved. His legacy will continue in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will forever roam the roads he loved to travel.
