In Loving Memory

Charlene Hall
July 15, 1940 — August 10, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Charlene Hall, who departed this life on August 10, 2026. Born on July 15, 1940, in Memphis, TN, Charlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and the heart of her family. Her life was filled with love, strength, sacrifice, and devotion to those she held closest to her heart.
Charlene leaves behind her beloved son, James Hall, along with the three grandchildren whom she lovingly adopted and raised as her own: Charlene Tamdiofang, James Crutcher, and Courneisha Crutcher. In addition to her son and grandchildren, she was blessed with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Those who knew Charlene will remember her for her unwavering strength, her gentle presence, and most importantly, the love she had for her family. From the young woman she once was to the mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she became, Charlene's life was a testament to the power of love and family. Her legacy will live on through every person she touched and loved.
Charlene devoted herself to her family, creating a lifetime of memories that will be cherished and shared from one generation to the next. Her love was the foundation upon which her family was built and the glue that held them together through life's challenges and triumphs. During her final years, Charlene was surrounded and cared for by Charlene, James, and Courneisha, who remained by her side and returned the same love and care she had given them throughout their lives.
Although our hearts are deeply saddened by her passing, we are grateful for the 86 years we were blessed to have her in this world. Her physical presence may be gone, but her love, lessons, memories, and spirit will remain with her family forever.
A service to celebrate Charlene's remarkable life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, located at 1638 Sycamore View Rd, Memphis, TN 38134. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor and remember a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Charlene's memory to a charity of your choice.
