Charleen C. Bodvin

April 19, 1940 — April 14, 2026

With heavy hearts but profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Charleen C. Bodvin, who journeyed to her eternal rest on April 14, 2026. Born on April 19, 1940, in the picturesque town of Maple Valley, Charleen graced this world with her vibrant spirit for nearly 86 years, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Charleen was the beloved daughter of Josephine and Gerald Linson, who preceded her in death but whose love and values she carried throughout her life. Her sister, Jackie Carlson, and brother, Lawrence Linson, remain to cherish her memory alongside her devoted children: daughter Christine Thomas, and sons Ronald, Daniel, and Alan Trujillo. Charleen's legacy also lives on through her cherished grandchildren—Eric, Kyle, Brendan, Randi, Hunter, and Trey Trujillo—and her precious great-grandchildren, including Jaden Trujillo. A woman of many passions, Charleen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored riding horses and filled her home with the companionship of beloved dogs and cats. Her green thumb was evident in the lush plants that thrived under her care, each a testament to her nurturing spirit. Charleen was also a proud member of the Cascade Cougar Club, where she delighted in showing her classic Cougar car, which often served as a conversation starter for her gift of never-ending stories. Charleen's warmth and generosity touched everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make each person feel like the most important person in the room, always ready with a story that could brighten any day. Her laughter was infectious, her kindness boundless, and her ability to listen and connect with others was unparalleled. Her final days were spent at home, surrounded by the love of her daughter and dedicated caregivers, a testament to the deep bonds she forged throughout her life. Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate the beautiful tapestry of memories she leaves behind. A service to honor Charleen's life will be held on April 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Marlatt Funeral Home, located at 713 Central Ave N, Kent, WA 98032. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Charleen are invited to join us in celebrating the remarkable woman we were privileged to know and love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Charleen's memory to a local animal shelter or plant conservation organization, honoring her love for nature and animals. Charleen C. Bodvin's legacy of love, laughter, and connection will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May her soul find peace and her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
