In loving memory, we celebrate the remarkable life of Charito Sinense Lucas, who peacefully passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on December 25, 1944, in the warm embrace of Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines, Charito was a cherished daughter of Marcelino and Leonora Sinense, both of whom predeceased her. She was a beloved sister to Marcelino Sinense, Jr., and Margie Worrell. Charito’s journey of life was one of profound love, generosity, and dedication. She was a devoted wife to Norberto Lucas, with whom she shared 53 blessed years of marriage after exchanging vows on November 22, 1974, in their beloved Pangasinan. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter and love, bringing up four wonderful children: Pia Almajano (Wendell), Enrico Lucas (Jean), Angelo Lucas, and Ulysses Lucas (Heidi). Charito’s legacy of love continues through her nine cherished grandchildren: Ynovea, Yssabria, Yllegria, Ian, Enzo, Thelia, Matheo, Nathanael, and Dominic. A woman of intellect and ambition, Charito graduated from Cipriano P. Premesias High School before pursuing higher education at Far Eastern University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her thirst for knowledge and passion for healing led her to the University of San Carlos, where she completed her Doctor of Medicine degree. Charito’s career as a general practitioner in her hometown from 1984 to 1995 was marked by an unwavering commitment to serving others. More than just a doctor, she was a beacon of compassion and hope, providing care to those who needed it most, even when they could not afford it. Her name, “Charito,” synonymous with charity, truly embodied her spirit of selfless service. Her patients will forever remember her for her medical expertise, gentle words, warm smile, and unwavering kindness. Even after moving to the United States, Charito’s dedication to caring for others never waned. She continued her life’s work by providing comfort and dignity to the elderly, offering her tender care and boundless compassion to those in their twilight years. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her patience and kindness. A woman of diverse interests, Charito found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed watching soap operas, indulged in shopping, and nurtured a passion for collecting orchid plants, a testament to her nurturing spirit and appreciation for beauty. Charito’s life was a testament to selfless service, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her spirit of generosity, compassion, and love leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Charito’s life and legacy on May 29, 2026. As we gather to honor her memory, we hold close the warmth and love she bestowed upon us all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charitable organization in honor of Charito’s lifelong commitment to serving others.
