Chandra was the beloved daughter of the late Reverend Arthur McKnight Sr. and Doris Sharp McKnight, who instilled in her a deep sense of faith and compassion. She carried their legacy forward, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and delicious home-cooked meals—a testament to her joy in caring for others. On February 20, 2000, in Dallas, Texas, Chandra married her soulmate, Jimmy Williams. Together, they wove a tapestry of love and devotion that was a guiding light for their family. Though Jimmy preceded her in death, their union remains an enduring testament to the power of love. Chandra is predeceased by her cherished husband, Jimmy Williams, her dear son Jared McKnight, her adored grandson Sema’J Mills, and her special friend, Starla King. Their memories live on in the hearts of those she left behind. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jocelyn McKnight and Jennifer Chambers, who, alongside her husband Harold, carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Her brother, Arthur McKnight Sr., and sister, Cassandra McKnight, remember her as a guiding light. Her home was a haven, where the aroma of her cooking welcomed all who entered and where everyone felt seen, heard, and loved. Her passion for cooking was matched only by her love for caring for others. Whether preparing a meal for a family gathering or offering a listening ear to a friend in need, Chandra's generosity knew no bounds. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Chandra's extraordinary life at a memorial service on May 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM, where we will gather to honor a woman who touched countless lives with her kindness and unwavering love. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Chandra's memory by sharing a meal with someone you love or offering a helping hand to those in need, as she did so selflessly throughout her life.
