Chad Steven Ivey
May 22, 1976 — May 22, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chad Steven Ivey, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world on his 50th birthday, May 22, 2026. Born in Longview, Texas, on May 22, 1976, Chad was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew him. He was the cherished son of the late Gary James Ivey and Jennifer Kay Ivey, both of whom welcomed him into eternal peace.
Chad was raised in a nurturing home where the values of kindness, integrity, and love for family were instilled by his devoted parents. He carried these values throughout his life, touching the hearts of many with his gentle spirit and infectious smile.
A proud graduate of Hallsville High School in 1994, Chad furthered his education at Kilgore College, where he studied Bio-Med and Corrosion Technology. His inquisitive mind and dedication to learning were evident in every endeavor he pursued.
Chad's passion for music was one of his most defining characteristics. An exceptionally talented guitarist, he could often be found strumming chords that resonated deeply with his soul and those fortunate enough to listen. Music was not just a hobby for Chad; it was a language through which he expressed his love and joy for life.
Though Chad has left this world, his legacy endures through the lives he touched. He is survived by his loving sister, Brooke Ivey, and her daughters, Saylor and Mia Solis, who adored their Uncle Chad. His brother, Jason England Ivey, and sister-in-law, Jeretta Ivey, along with their children, Cameron and Finley Ivey, will forever cherish the memories and laughter they shared with him. Chad's extended family of friends also mourns his passing, each holding dear the moments of friendship and camaraderie that he generously shared.
A celebration of Chad's life will be held on May 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Radar Funeral Home in Kilgore, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man whose life was filled with love, music, and an unwavering dedication to those he cared for.
As we bid farewell to Chad Steven Ivey, let us hold onto the melodies he played and the warmth he brought into our lives. May his memory be a blessing and his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
