Chad Jason Gallop

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Chad Jason Gallop, who left us unexpectedly on August 12, 2026, at the AR Gould Northern Light in Presque Isle, Maine, just two days shy of his 51st birthday. Born on August 14, 1975, Chad was a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity. Chad was the cherished son of Ronald (Ronnie) Gallop and the late Linda (Murphy) Gallop. He is preceded in death by his mother, his maternal grandparents, Orman & Ruby (Crouse) Murphy, his paternal grandparents, Chestley & Lillian (Wilson) Gallupe, and beloved aunts and uncles Dana & Deanna (Murphy) Collins, Stephen Murphy, Rodney Fulton, Vida & Ronald Ryder, and Susan (Gallop). He is survived by his loving father, Ronald Gallop, his devoted brother Travis Gallop and his wife Jesse (Ralph), and his sister Ashley along with her husband Caleb Priest. Also mourning his loss are his dear aunt Susan (Murphy) Fulton, uncle Robert (Bob) Murphy, and uncle Alan Gallup with his wife Carol. A graduate of CAHS Mars Hill Class of 1975, Chad's career took him to various roles at VMS in Presque Isle, Big Cheese Pizza in Presque Isle, and Shiretown Shuttle Service in Houlton, ME. His work ethic and dedication were evident in every position he held, leaving a lasting impression on his colleagues and friends. Chad was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in the beauty of the outdoors, capturing moments through his photography, and spending time fishing. He cherished road trips to Bangor and the coast, embracing the serene landscapes of Maine. An avid cook, Chad's culinary skills were celebrated by all who had the pleasure of sharing a meal with him. Though a quiet man, his warmth and thoughtfulness spoke volumes, leaving a legacy of kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him. His generous spirit and gentle nature were a testament to a life well-lived, impacting countless lives in profound ways. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Chad's memory and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting Chad's giving nature and desire to help others. The Gallop family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Northern Light Dialysis Center in Presque Isle for their compassionate care over the years. Chad will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find peace in the arms of those who went before him, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
