Born on February 16, 1978, in Selma, Alabama, Chad was the beloved son of Shirley Rose Hudson and the late Johnny Mack Hudson. He was a cherished brother to Mark, Kyle, and Jessie, and a devoted father to his two wonderful children, Naya and Riley. Chad's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to service and compassion. After graduating high school, he proudly joined the US Army, where he served with distinction for five years as a combat medic. Rising to the rank of Sergeant, Chad's dedication and bravery earned him numerous honors, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), the Army Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award). His time in the military was a testament to his selflessness and courage, and his fellow soldiers remember him fondly for his humor and camaraderie. Following his honorable discharge, Chad pursued his passion for animals by working part-time as a dog groomer. His love for dogs was evident in the care and attention he lavished upon each one, treating them as though they were his own. Chad's gentle nature and genuine desire to help others extended beyond his work; he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying the true spirit of community and friendship. A fervent fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Chad found joy in sharing his love for football with family and friends. A service to honor Chad's life will be held on October 2, 2026, at 11:15AM at Southern Nevada Memorial Veterans Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005. As we gather to celebrate his remarkable journey, we are reminded of the special message from his family: "Forever in our hearts. Hooah, soldier."
