In Loving Memory

CELESTE NWAOBILOR
April 13, 1965 — April 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved Celeste Nwaobilor, who left this world peacefully at her home on April 27, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on April 13, 1965, in Enugu State, Nigeria, Celeste's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and family.
Celeste was the cherished daughter of Chinedu and Ngozi Nwaobilor, who survive her. Her journey in life was shared with her devoted siblings, Amara and Kelechi Nwaobilor, and her beloved spouse, Daniel Okafor. Together, Celeste and Daniel built a beautiful life, full of love and laughter, and welcomed their precious daughter, Zara Okafor, into the world. Celeste's legacy lives on through her adored granddaughters, Chideraa Amaechi and Nnaya Okafor, who were the light of her life.
In 1995, at the age of 30, Celeste moved from Nigeria to Maryland, bringing with her the rich tapestry of her heritage and a heart full of dreams. Although homeschooled, her education was vast, encompassing the practical wisdom of life and the deep knowledge of love, which she imparted to all who knew her.
Celeste was a woman of simple joys and profound love. Her days were often spent in the company of her granddaughters, where she found pure happiness. She was a nurturer in every sense; her kitchen was a sanctuary of delectable aromas and heartfelt meals, her garden a testament to her patience and care, and her home a haven of warmth and laughter. Celeste's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great solace in attending church, where her gentle spirit shone brightly.
Known for her warm smile and unyielding kindness, Celeste's love for her family was boundless. Her life was a symphony of compassion and grace, touching the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
A service to honor and celebrate Celeste's life will be held on May 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Lemon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, located at 10 W Padonia Rd, Lutherville Timonium, MD 21093. During the service, a special poem from her granddaughter, Chideraa Amaechi, will be read:
"We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain.
Until the day we meet again,
We’ll carry your love through every day."
Celeste Nwaobilor will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the life she lived and the love she shared. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew her, and her memory will be a blessing for generations to come.
