Cedric Wynn: A Life of Generosity, Laughter, and Love
It is with profound sadness and yet a sense of gratitude for having shared in his extraordinary life that we announce the passing of Cedric Wynn, who left this world on May 4, 2026, after a courageous and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on July 12, 1977, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Cedric’s life was a testament to the strength of family bonds, the power of laughter, and the beauty of a generous heart.
Cedric was the beloved son of Jeanette Marie Jenkins and the late Ulysses Clark Wynn. He was also the cherished brother of the late Aaron Woodruff and Latoya Reid. Despite the challenges and losses he faced, Cedric’s spirit remained indomitable, and his love for his family only deepened. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Jeanette, his beloved son, Kobee Wynn, and his dear sisters, Antoinette, Shanelle, and Natalie. Cedric’s legacy of love extends to his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who became family, including Yon Jenkins and Brandon and Natisha Wilkes.
Cedric graduated from Brevard High School in 1995, where he began to cultivate the qualities that would define him throughout his life. Known for his generous nature, Cedric found immense joy in giving, whether it was through acts of kindness or simply sharing his infectious sense of humor. His laughter was a balm for the soul, and he had an uncanny ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around him, even in the toughest of times.
Beyond his humor and generosity, Cedric was a fierce protector of his family and loved ones. His presence was a source of strength and comfort, and his unwavering support and love were constants that his family could always rely on. Cedric’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of compassion, resilience, and an unyielding devotion to those he held dear.
In his final days, Cedric was surrounded by the love and care of his family and a dedicated medical team. The Wynn family extends their deepest gratitude to the Carolina Foothills Hospice, especially Nurse Katie, for their compassionate care and support. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the Brevard Rescue Squad for their kindness and assistance in helping Jeanette visit her son, unknowingly for the last time.
As we remember Cedric, we reflect on the light he brought into our lives and the legacy he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His laughter echoes in our memories, and his love remains an enduring guide.
A celebration of Cedric’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor the remarkable man he was and the extraordinary life he led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cedric’s memory to organizations dedicated to pancreatic cancer research and patient support.
Cedric Wynn’s journey on this earth may have ended, but the impact of his life will continue to resonate, reminding us all of the power of love, laughter, and generosity. Rest in peace, dear Cedric, knowing that you are cherished and will be profoundly missed.
