In Loving Memory of Cecilia May McPherson It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Cecilia May McPherson, who departed this world on February 24, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on April 4, 1950, in the vibrant town of Capris, Panama, Cecilia was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Cecilia was the cherished daughter of the late Rosalind Castillo de Carmen and Thiago Juarez. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved sons Jeffery (Jeff) and Thomas McPherson, and her dear brother Donovan Juarez. Though her family has endured much loss, Cecilia's spirit remained unbowed, a testament to her quiet resilience and strength. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, Nelson McPherson, and her loving daughter, Lea Johnson, who was her pride and joy. Cecilia was also the beloved grandmother to a bundle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart. Her family was her life, and she found immense joy in every moment spent with them, treasuring each smile, each hug, and each shared memory. Cecilia touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and generous heart. Her kindness knew no bounds, whether it was in the form of a comforting word, a home-cooked meal, or simply her steady and reassuring presence. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her legacy of love and compassion is one that will endure through the lives of all she touched. A service to celebrate Cecilia's life will be held on March 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 2427 Corner Rd, Warrior, AL 35180. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Cecilia are warmly invited to attend and honor the remarkable life of a woman who was loved by so many. Cecilia May McPherson will be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering kindness, and her gentle strength. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
