Born on April 4, 1950, in the vibrant town of Capira, Panama, Cecilia was a beloved daughter to Rosalind Castillo de Carmen and Thiago Juarez. She departed this world on February 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished forever.
Cecilia's life was a testament to kindness and compassion. Her heart knew no bounds, and her love was a guiding light for her family and friends. Whether through a comforting word, a home-cooked meal, or her steady and reassuring presence, Cecilia had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Rosalind and Thiago, her dear brother Donovan Juarez, and her cherished sons, Thomas and Jeffery (Jeff) McPherson. Their memories remain alive in the stories and hearts of those who loved them.
Cecilia's life was blessed by the enduring love of her husband, Nelson McPherson, with whom she shared 54 beautiful years. Together, they built a family grounded in love and resilience. Cecilia is survived by her devoted daughter, Lea Thomas, and a bundle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
Her family invites those who knew and loved Cecilia to join in celebrating her life at a service to be held on March 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The service will take place at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 2427 Corner Rd., Warrior, AL 35180. It will be a time to honor Cecilia's life, share stories, and find solace in the love she so freely gave.
