It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cecil R. Kegley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on March 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 14, 1954, in the warm and welcoming town of Foreman, Arkansas, Cecil's life was a testament to hard work, deep love, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
Cecil was the cherished son of Vera and RD Kegley, who instilled in him the values of integrity and dedication that he carried throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his siblings Lillie May, Osmarie, David, Jim Bob, and John D., who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the afterlife.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Debra Kegley, whose partnership exemplified true love and companionship. Together, they built a family that stands as a testament to their enduring bond. Cecil will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Edna Black, and brother, Donnie Kegley, who cherished their sibling bond deeply.
Cecil was the proud father of three children: his sons, Cecil Kegley and Robert Kegley, and his daughter, Tina Fulfer. His legacy continues through them, as well as through his six precious grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life and the source of his greatest joy.
A man of tireless work ethic, Cecil dedicated his career to the construction and trucking industries, where he was known for his reliability and skill. His hands built structures and transported goods, contributing to the community in countless unseen ways. Those who worked alongside him remember his steadfast nature and the quiet strength he brought to every task.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Cecil was a man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially when it involved adventures and activities with his family. His laughter and stories were a staple at family gatherings, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A service to honor Cecil's life will be held on April 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Blackland Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cecil's name to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
