A graduate of Owensville High School in 1977, she was not only an exemplary student but also an active member of the choir and cheerleading squad. Her musical talents shone brightly as the lead clarinet chair in the high school band, a role she cherished dearly. Catherine pursued higher education at East Central College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in banking in 1979. Her career began at the local bank in Owensville, where she worked until 1989. Catherine's dedication and passion were evident in every position she held, from teller to account management and deposits. Her commitment extended beyond the bank, as she devoted time to her father's newspaper delivery business, helping to deliver newspapers with care and diligence. On August 27, 1988, Catherine married the love of her life, Wayne Bunners, in a beautiful ceremony in Jefferson City. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Catherine and Wayne were blessed with a daughter, Bianca, who was the light of their lives. Catherine's devotion to her family was unparalleled, and she found immense joy in spending time with them. Catherine's interests and hobbies were as vibrant as her personality. An avid Disney fan, she delighted in visiting theme parks and dining with her favorite characters, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Her love for the St. Louis Cardinals was matched by her enthusiasm for football and playing Animal Crossing with Bianca. Catherine was a devoted collector of all things Snoopy, her affection for Peanuts a testament to her playful spirit. Her friends and family remember Catherine as a beautiful soul with a shining personality. Always ready to solve problems, dance, and spread joy, she was a source of comfort and happiness to everyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness knew no bounds. Catherine's life will be honored at a funeral service on October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Owensville Chapel, located at 108 South Second Street, Owensville, Missouri.
