Born on March 19, 1961, in the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina, Catherine was a beacon of joy and strength to all who knew her. Catherine was predeceased by her loving parents, whose values and kindness shaped the compassionate woman she became. She is survived by her devoted lifelong partner, Philip Davis of John's Island, who stood by her side through life's many adventures and quiet moments alike. Her family extends to her dear stepbrother and stepsister, each holding a special place in her heart. Catherine was the proud and loving mother of a daughter and a son, who both carry forward her spirit and zest for life. Her two grandchildren brought immense joy and pride into her life, adding laughter and love to her later years. Catherine found immense pleasure in the simple joys of life. She was an avid gardener, nurturing her plants and flowers with the same care and attention she offered to those around her. Her love for the water was evident in her passion for fishing and crabbing, activities that brought her peace and happiness. In keeping with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society - Breast Cancer Fund, a cause close to Catherine's heart. Catherine's legacy is one of love, resilience, and a profound appreciation for the beauty in the world. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
