A proud alumna of Central High School, Class of 1975, Cathy went on to further her education at Morgan State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Her education paved the way for a successful career, beginning in the Federal Government and later transitioning to a rewarding tenure at Bank of America. Cathy's professionalism and dedication to her work were admired by colleagues and cherished by clients. Cathy's love for reading was well-known among her friends and family. An avid reader, she found joy in joining book clubs, where she engaged in spirited discussions and fostered lasting friendships. Cathy's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her devoted mother, Sallie Morrisey-Jenkins; her sister, Belinda Morrisey-Baker; her cherished niece, Raven Diggs; and two beloved great-nephews, Garren Jr. and Graeson Diggs. Although predeceased by her father, Raymond Morrisey, and her brother, Marlin Morrisey, their spirits remain ever-present in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Cathy's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever be a guiding light for those who loved her. Her journey was marked by courage, grace, and an enduring love for life that inspired all who knew her.
