It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cassandra Bailey, a devoted partner, loving mother, cherished sister, and beloved friend to many. Cassandra left this world unexpectedly on June 28, 2026, at the age of 66, as the result of a tragic car accident. Born on July 6, 1959, in Lakeland, Florida, Cassandra was a beacon of light and compassion throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met.
Cassandra was the cherished daughter of the late Morris Bailey. Her mother, who is currently under home health care, survives her. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Tammy Bailey. Cassandra is survived by her devoted partner, Leroy Marshal, her loving daughter, Lashonda Hardin, and her brothers, Kevin Bailey and Tory Bailey. She was also a proud grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Cassandra's circle of love extended to her close friends, Maryellen Williams and Darlene Thomas, who were like family to her.
A dedicated Registered Nurse, Cassandra served her community with grace and compassion at Lakeland Regional Health for an impressive 28 years. Her career began as a Patient Care Nurse, where she spent five years providing nurturing, attentive care to her patients. Cassandra's commitment to her profession and her selfless dedication to the well-being of others made her a respected and admired member of the healthcare community.
Cassandra's life will be celebrated on July 10, 2026, at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1645 North Webster Ave., Lakeland, FL 33805. Services will begin at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and remember a woman whose warmth, kindness, and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cassandra's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her lifelong commitment to caring for others.
