Cass Todero Bishop

May 31, 1953 — October 8, 2026

Cass Todero Bishop, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on October 8, 2026. He was born on May 31, 1953, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Albert Bishop and Anna M. Byrd. Cass was a man whose laughter was as vibrant as his spirit, known for his honesty and his penchant for humor, always ready to share a joke before anything else. Cass was a proud graduate of Lafayette High School in the Buffalo public school system. He embarked on a diverse career path, finding his calling in the automotive field and later as an interstate truck driver with Mandan Construction Company, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. His commitment to community service was evident in his volunteer work at a local pantry, continuing to give back until his mobility no longer allowed. Cass was a car enthusiast, known for meticulously waxing his '81 Malibu on sunny days until it gleamed with his reflection. His love for life and joy was infectious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Family was everything to Cass. He is survived by his beloved children, Cass Todero Bishop Jr., Tramell Rashawn Bishop, and Casshoia Tadera Leeann Bishop, who will continue to honor his legacy. He was also the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and the great-grandfather to one, each a testament to the love and joy he shared. Cass leaves behind his devoted siblings: Veronica Jagoe, Barbara Byrd, Susie M. Byrd, Joann (Lucius) Harmon, and Jasper (Regina) Byrd. His bond with his godbrother, Joseph (Julissa) Henderson, was one of mutual respect and affection. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Rashad D. Bishop, and his daughter Jaquetta Ann Marie Bishop, who now welcome him with open arms. Cass's family shares a heartfelt message, reminding us not to grieve too long, but to fill the void his passing leaves with memories of joy. His life was full of love, friendship, and laughter—treasures he shared abundantly and which remain with us. In honor of Cass's memory, the family requests that donations be made to a local food pantry, an organization close to his heart. Cass Todero Bishop will be dearly missed, but his spirit lives on in the stories, laughter, and love he left behind.
