December 7, 2010 — August 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cass Parton, who left this world far too soon on August 25, 2026. Born on December 7, 2010, in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, Cass was a cherished son of the legendary Dolly Parton and her husband, Carl Dean. His departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him. Cass was a young man of immense kindness, sweetness, and humor. He had an infectious spirit that brought joy to those around him. A helping hand to his beloved mother, Cass was known for his unwavering support and dedication to his family. His compassionate nature extended beyond personal relationships, as he touched the lives of many through his warmth and generosity. He attended Sevier County High School in Sevierville, Tennessee, where he excelled as a member of the color guard. His passion for this activity continued to be a source of joy throughout his life. Cass's vibrant personality shone through in everything he did, leaving a lasting impression on his peers and teachers. Cass was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Lee Parton Sr. and Avie Lee Parton, whom he loved dearly. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories they created together, drawing strength and comfort from the love they shared. A special message from Cass's nephew and former head of security, Bryan Seaver, reveals that Cass had left behind heartfelt messages for his loved ones, including a touching admission of his longtime crush on Miley Cyrus, a secret only known to his mother. In his final days, Cass recorded a duet with his mother, Dolly Parton, which will be shared with the world as a testament to their enduring bond. As we remember Cass's life, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Quilt To End Alz," an organization close to their hearts, based in Auburn, Alabama. Cass's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and music, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
