It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude that we announce the passing of Carter Sanchez Williams, who departed this earthly life on April 12, 2026, at the tender age of 19. Born on July 27, 2006, in Meridian, Mississippi, Carter was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him. Although his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will resonate through the hearts and lives of his family, friends, and community forever. Carter was the beloved son of Denise Williams and Tomayo Harris, who cherished every moment with him. His warm smile and quick wit were ever-present, leaving a trail of joy and laughter wherever he went. Known for his incredible ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, Carter had a unique gift for lifting spirits with his humor and kindness. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Brian Williams Sr., Aunt Vivian Harris, and Grandfather Otis Bennett Sr. Carter is survived by a devoted family who will continue to honor his memory: his parents Denise Williams and Tomayo Harris; his brothers Xavier Dubose and Aiden Williams; his sister Sasha Dubose; and his grandparents Rhonda Williams, Otis Coleman, and Mary Ann Harris. He also leaves behind his close friends Kel and TJ, as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by his kindness and humility. Carter's love for life was evident in his many pursuits. He graduated from Meridian High School in 2024 and was pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Meridian Community College, with plans to continue his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi. His enthusiasm for learning was matched by his passion for video gaming, fishing, soccer, tennis, and music. Whether on the field or behind a controller, Carter's competitive spirit and camaraderie inspired those around him. A celebration of Carter's life will be held on April 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Berry & Gardner O.P. Chapel, located at 1221 34th Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Carter are invited to gather in remembrance and honor the life of a remarkable young man who brought light into every room he entered. The family of Carter Sanchez Williams extends their heartfelt and sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness, expressions of love, and prayers during this time of bereavement. Each gesture of compassion has been a comforting reminder that we are not alone in our sorrow.
