Carrolyn J. Schollian Ostuni, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away in her sleep on June 6, 2026. Born on March 16, 1961, in Kastal, Germany, Carrolyn was a beacon of warmth and love for all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of family and the simple joys of life. Carrolyn was predeceased by her dear sisters, Sharron and Tracy, as well as her loving parents. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Amanda Atkins, Mina Atkins, Sandi Atkins, and Elmer Thomas Atkins III. Her spirit and joy are carried forward by her twelve grandchildren: Skyler Schult, Issac Schult, Zoey Schult, David Tyler, Jahson Tyler, Paisley Tyler, Zerick Atkins, Zaydin Atkins, Zavion Atkins, Zander Atkins, Ziare Atkins, Olivia Atkins, and Natalie Atkins, along with her one great-grandchild, who brought her immense joy. Carrolyn’s life was enriched by her hobbies and passions. She found joy in crocheting hats and socks, creating beautiful diamond arts, and spending time with her beloved dogs. Her humor and intelligence were matched only by her welcoming nature and the deep love she held for her family. She was known for her infectious laughter and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. A memorial service to honor Carrolyn's life will take place on August 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the family home located at 1459 Halstead Ave, Norfolk, Virginia. Following the service, there will be a special send-off at Virginia Beach, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carrolyn’s memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her giving spirit and love for others. Carrolyn J.
