Carroll Lynn Kropp

It is with deep sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Carroll Lynn Kropp, who left this world on September 30, 2026. Born on February 9, 1945, in Garner, Iowa, Carroll was the beloved son of Caris and Ethel Kropp. His journey through life was marked by profound love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and community. Carroll shared 51 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janet Everett Kropp. Carroll was a devoted father to Corey Kropp of St. Joseph and Cara Kropp (Michael Sproul) of Durango, Colorado. He was also a proud grandfather to Jet Macey, Bella Macey, and Macey Girdner of Norman, OK. Carroll earned a Bachelor's degree in Art and Education and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Northwest MO. State University. He also earned a Master's Degree in Management and Administration from Central Michigan University. This foundation enabled him to serve as the Vice President of the Family Guidance Center for 37 years, where his leadership positively impacted countless lives. Carroll's found joy in working on his farm, traveling to new places, and visiting with family and friends. An avid reader, he was known for his quick wit and humorous, sometimes sarcastic, remarks, which endeared him to family and friends alike. He is also survived by his sister, Carita Kropp of Minnetonka, MN. Carroll was predeceased by his parents and his step-son, Michael Everett Macey. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Oregon Care Center and Freudenthal Hospice for their compassionate care during Carroll's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Carroll's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or Freudenthal Center for Parkinson's Disease. There will be a celebration of life with Carroll's family and friends in the near future. Carroll's life was a testament to the power of love, humor, and dedication. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
