Carrie's journey led her to Francis Marion University, where she graduated in 1993 with a degree in nursing and public health. For 20 years, she dedicated herself to Grandstand Medical Center, where she worked not only as a skilled nurse but also as a manager of staff, ensuring her colleagues and patients received the utmost care and attention. Later, she shared her wealth of knowledge and experience as an instructor in HGTC's nursing development program, shaping the next generation of nurses with the same compassion and dedication she exemplified. Carrie's love for her work was unparalleled. She found immense joy in her profession, considering her colleagues as an extended family. Even as her health declined, she remained surrounded by those she cherished, her spirit undiminished, and her heart full of joy. Known for her caring attitude and patient nature, Carrie was not just a remarkable nurse but also an extraordinary sister and friend. Her genuine kindness and ability to listen made her a pillar of support for all who knew her, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate Carrie's life, honoring the beautiful soul she was.
