Born on June 18, 1932, in the charming city of Savannah, Georgia, Carrie was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Carrie was the cherished daughter of John and Placeholder Bailey, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience that she carried throughout her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Verdell Mincey Sr., whom she married on December 10, 1976. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, serving as a model for all who witnessed their devotion. Carrie pursued her education at Savannah State University, where she cultivated a passion for serving others. This calling led her to a rewarding career in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant. Her dedication to her work touched countless lives, providing comfort and care to those in need. Her gentle touch and kind spirit were a source of solace to patients and colleagues alike. Carrie is survived by her devoted son, Timothy Bailey of Savannah, who carries forward her legacy of love and integrity. She leaves behind her granddaughter, Tiffanie Kinsey, and her husband Justin Kinsey, of Orlando, Florida, who cherished her wisdom and warmth. Carrie’s legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Jadynn, Israel, and Raegan, who brought immense joy and pride to her days. She is also fondly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Carrie was a pillar of her community, active in her faith and fellowship at Butler Presbyterian Church. Her life was a testament to the strength found in faith, family, and friendship. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Candler Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Carrie’s final days. A service to celebrate her extraordinary life will be held at Butler Presbyterian Church, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she leaves on our hearts.
