Walpole, NH - With heavy hearts but deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we share the passing of Carolyn O’Haire Clough Latham, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on June 8, 2026, at the age of 80. Carolyn departed this life surrounded by the love and presence of her cherished children, just as she had always lived—enveloped in the warmth of family. Born on November 14, 1945, in the quaint town of Walpole, NH, Carolyn was the treasured daughter of John and Carolyn O’Haire. Throughout her life, she carried the values instilled by her loving parents, who preceded her in death, alongside her devoted husband and best friend, Thomas Latham. Carolyn was a proud alumna of Claremont High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed a keen sense of community. Her career was not defined by titles or accolades but by the countless lives she touched through her selfless volunteer work at the Fall Mountain Food Shelf. Carolyn had an innate ability to bring light to any room, often drawing a smile from those around her even on their darkest days. Her genuine compassion and unwavering support were constants for her family and friends. A woman of simple pleasures, Carolyn found joy in the company of her family. She spent countless hours crocheting beautiful keepsakes that her loved ones will treasure forever, and she had a knack for solving puzzles, which she approached with her characteristic patience and tenacity. Carolyn’s legacy lives on through her devoted children: son Todd Clough and his wife Janet of Langdon, and daughter Kathy Foster and her husband Tim of Woodruff, SC. She embraced her role as a stepmother with open arms, sharing her love with John Latham and his wife Danielle of Morrisville, NY, and Michelle Latham Gonzalez of Danbury, CT. Her vibrant spirit and nurturing heart were cherished by her grandchildren, James, Kassandra, Johnathon, Josiah, Corrina Gonzalez, Thomas and Robyn Latham, Adam Gunn, Alex Clough, Darryl Rogers, and Brittany Chambers. Her lineage extends to 13 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Carolyn leaves behind a tapestry of family, including several nieces and nephews, who were touched by her generosity and warmth. Her love for family was the cornerstone of her life, and she instilled in each of them the importance of cherishing every moment together. In accordance with Carolyn’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support during this time. Carolyn O’Haire Clough Latham’s memory will forever remain a guiding light, reminding us to embrace life with love, laughter, and an open heart.
