It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Middleton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many, who left this world peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Carolyn graced this earth for 79 glorious years, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Born on February 26, 1947, in the vibrant city of Toronto, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of William and Catherine Austin. Her life was a testament to service, love, and an unwavering commitment to family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Barry Middleton, her cherished son, Aaron Middleton, and her loving parents, William and Catherine Austin. Though they have gone before her, the reunion in heaven is a comforting thought for those who loved her dearly. Carolyn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of adventure, love, and joy. She was a woman of many passions, with a spirit as vibrant as the color pink she adored. Her love for the sun and surf was evident in her many travels, and her heart found peace in the gentle embrace of the ocean. Swimming and scuba diving were more than hobbies; they were expressions of her boundless zest for life. An avid reader and gardener, Carolyn cultivated both her mind and her surroundings with the same tender care she showed to her family. Her home was always filled with the sweet aroma of her favorite nanaimo bars and chocolate chip cookies, a testament to her warmth and hospitality. Music was the soundtrack to her life, a constant companion that brought joy and solace in equal measure. Carolyn was known for her warm, infectious smile and her kindness, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. She had a heart that loved deeply and a spirit always willing to help those in need. Her children, Dina (Andrew) and Barry, and her grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle), Cierra (Joe), Brienna (Evans & Great-grandson John), and Brayden, were the center of her universe. Her love for them was immeasurable and unconditional, a guiding light that will shine brightly in their hearts forever. As we say goodbye to our dear Carolyn, we remember her with love and gratitude. Her life was a beautiful journey, and her memory will continue to inspire us all. In her honor, donations can be made to the Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario, an organization that reflects her spirit of healing and compassion. We will miss you dearly forever. 'Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.'" Rest in peace, dear Carolyn. You have left a trail of beautiful memories that we will cherish forever. Your love and light will remain with us always.
