Carolyn McFalls

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn McFalls, who departed this life on August 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 30, 1954, in the quaint town of Maben, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Carroll Harpole and Petonia Shelton Downs. Carolyn devoted her life to being a homemaker, a role in which she found great joy and fulfillment. Her loving nature touched many, as she was not only a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but also a caring sister, aunt, and friend. Known for her resilience, Carolyn was considered a tough lady by those who knew her well—a testament to her strong spirit and unwavering determination. Her warmth and vivacity were reflected in her hobbies, which included listening to music, drawing, cooking, and fishing. Carolyn had a knack for finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, often described as someone who enjoyed "rambling" and finding new adventures to dive into. Carolyn's kindness and generosity extended beyond her family and friends, as she held a special place in her heart for charitable causes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, TN, USA. This was a cause close to her heart, reflecting her deep compassion and hope for a brighter future for all children. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find solace in the loving memories she leaves behind. Carolyn McFalls will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all.
